Dr. SURESH FREDERICK, Associate Professor and UG Head in the Department of English, Bishop Heber College, Trichy, India, has 28 years of teaching experience at the college level. He is the Dean of IQAC. He holds a PhD in English from Bharathidasan University, India. He has been conferred with an Hon. DLitt by IICM, Florida, USA.

He has presented 95 papers in International and National conferences, published 105 articles in reputed books and journals and edited ten books.  He has guided 26 PhDs and 85 MPhils. He is the Vice President of SELLTA (South Asian English Language and Literature Teachers Association), Vice President of OSLE (Organization for Study of Literature and Environment), a Life Member of IASA (Indian Association for the Study of Australia), a Fellow of Eco-Ethics International Union, Germany, a Member of The Andrew Marvell Society,  a Member of Asia TEFL and an Associate Member of the Council for Research in Values and Philosophy, Washington, D.C.

Dr. Suresh Frederick has visited many foreign countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Portugal and Ireland. The areas of his specialization are Ecocriticism, Mass Communication, ELT, Australian Literature, American Literature and British Drama. He has been awarded Editor’s Choice Award for his Critical Writing by The Home of Letters (India) in 2010 and Best Research Paper award for Literature by Bishop Heber College in 2015 and Life-time achievement award in 2018.
