Dr. K. KAVIARASU is an Assistant Professor of English at Vivekananda College, Agastheeswaram, Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu, India. He started his career as a Lecturer in English at Srinivasan College of Arts and Science, Perambalur and has put in thirteen years of teaching and research experience as Assistant Professor of English at Bishop Heber College, Tiruchirappalli, India.

He is an ardent lover of nature and was conferred as a Green Ambassador by Heber Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies. His zeal in nature has motivated him to undertake studies on Nature. He, inspired by Dr. Nirmal Selvamony's concept of Ecocriticism, worked on Oikopoetic studies and obtained his Ph.D. from Bharathidasan University. His love towards nature did not confine itself within the papers. With his involvement and concern over nature he became the Vice-President of Trichy District Youth and Students’ ExNoRa during 2011-2013 and now he is one of the Directors of Youth ExNoRa International.

His quest on technology has stirred in him the application of Technology on English Language. This has resulted in his UGC Minor project entitled “Teaching English for the ESL Students of Higher Education through English Movies” and the UBCHEA funded joint Project on “Dream English”. He has also attempted a revolutionary method of e-teaching through his blog kaviarasuteaches.blogspot.in.

He has presented about 83 papers in various National and International Conferences held at Malaysia, Nepal, Goa, Kolkata and places in and around Tamil Nadu. He has participated in numerous Workshops, Conferences, Symposium and Training Programmes. He has also been Resource Person and Chair Person in Conferences and Training Programmes in India and abroad. He has published 53 research articles in ISBN and ISSN volumes and has edited 9 books and 6 journal volumes. He is also a member of the Editorial Board in 14 reputed journals. He is doings an extensive service to the research community through his blog kkseminars.blogspot.in. He received “Best Young Researcher Award” in 2016 and “Best Researcher Award” in 2018.

He is associated with various professional bodies like CRVP - Council for Research in Values and Philosophy, Washington DC (Member), Youth ExNoRa International (Life Member), EEIU - Eco­Ethics International Union, Germany (Fellow), OSLE - Organisation for Study of Literature and Ecology (Member), ASA - Austrian Studies Association (Member), IASA - Indian Association for the Study of Australia (Life Member) and AIIRN - Australia-India Interdisciplinary Research Network (Member).
