Dr. K. PREMKUMAR, serving as Assistant Professor of English in PG and Research Dept. of English, Bishop Heber College(Autonomous) Tiruchirappalli – 620 117, Tamilnadu, India, has 20 years of Experience in teaching and 12 years of experience in Research. He has produced 41 M.Phil. Scholars and 8 PhD’s.  Dr. Premkumar have presented 59 papers in the National and International Conferences in India and Abroad. For his credit he has organized 2 National and 3 International Conferences. He is a member of various Academic forums like ELTAI, IMRF, ISTE, DOTE, MELTA and General Secretary of SELLTA (South Asian English Language Teachers Association). He has edited 5 books and written one book on the “Mystery of Time in the Novels of Jane Austen”.   Sir acted as External Examiner for Ph.D. public Viva Voce for various Universities Including Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Madurai Kamarajar University, Madurai and Kalasalingam University, Srivilliputhur. Tamilnadu.

Dr. K. Premkumar has also served as Chief Examiner for central valuation of various Universities in and around Tamilnadu. He has visited Malaysia, Thailand and Ireland for Academic purposes and as Resource person. Global Economic Progress and Research Association, New Delhi honoured Dr. K. Premkumar with Mother Teresa Award in 2013. He is also helping the poor and needy students in their education and supporting Old Age Homes physically and financially. His main aim of organizing Conferences is to develop Research and Development in English Language and literature field.
